Biotech Trading Partners is pleased to announce the release of a full line of serology assays for the Sentinel Mouse And Rat Testing (SMART) program. This program is an outgrowth from the requests within the research community for alternatives to outside reference lab testing. The SMART program consists of a full regiment of well established ELISA assays, plus the addition of the newly developed SMART-SPT®: the next generation in Sentinel Panel Testing.  The mouse basic screen assay will simultaneously test for 9 distinctive antigens and the mouse expanded screen assay will test for an additional 6 distinctive antigens all without specialized equipment or training. The rat basic screen assay will simultaneously test for 8 distinctive antigens.

 

We have taken our 30+ years experience in providing assays for the human diagnostic market and applied these concepts to the SMART program. The SMART program is designed around the following basic concepts:

¨         The assay must be accurate and consistent

¨         The assay must be user friendly with forgiveness for the minor variations found in normal laboratory environments

¨         The assay must be cost competitive

¨         The assay must be available for delivery upon customer order

 

With the above concepts as our foundation, we developed the SMART program. We use the term “program” for we will be working with the research community to expand our offerings to meet the growing demands.

 

All of the SMART serology assays are balanced against the industry standard and contain only the finest antigens, conjugates, and substrates.
